John Yost, 83, formerly of Stiles, died Aug. 14, 2017, at Whitehall Manor, Whitehall.
Born in Stiles, he was a son of the late Adolph and Cecilia (Failer) Yost.
He was an U.S. Army veteran.
He was a transistor assembler for the former Lucent Technologies for many years before he retired.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Coplay.
He was a member of the Coplay Sportsman Club for many years and also Rangers Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by a brother, Alfred Yost; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by five brothers, Adolph, Herbert, Edward, Richard and Leonard; and sisters, Emily Makovsky, Hilda Yost and Emma Kornfeind.
There will be a viewing time 10-11 a.m. Aug. 18, followed by a funeral service 11 a.m. at the funeral home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, 18037.
