Edward L. Brown, 85, of Bethlehem, died August 3, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg Campus. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late William and Mamie (Pickney) Brown. He was the husband of Sarah (Corla) Brown.

He was in the United States Army and also the United States Air Force for more than 20 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Jennifer Ruby, Janice, Edward John, Jacqueline A., Allen G. and William E. Brown; a sister; Ruby B. Williams; and 21 grandchildren, Serena Harmon, Sharleen Snowling, James A. Bailey, Shantelle Ricketts, Josef M. Ricketts, Maria Bailey, Gabriele Nichole Barr, Enna Ricketts, Christinia Brown, Daeja Farchion, Jazqueline Ricketts, Gregory Leigh Barr, King Robert, Eddy Ricketts Jr., Bryce C. Brown, Merridianblu Ricketts, Kaylen Brown, Keian Brown, Miley Brown, Reno Brown and Leilani Brown.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Brown and Joan Helen Brown.
