In the midst of vacations and pool time, take a minute to check on your neighbors.
Thunderstorms and power outages have almost been the norm this summer.
When air conditioning and appliances shut down, elderly neighbors may need some help.
Just a knock on the door can make a big difference.

Ebenezer UCC, New Tripoli, will host its annual bazaar and car show on Sept. 9.
There will be a great flea market with lots of good stuff for adults and kids.
To kick off the new Sunday School year, the church will be having its annual Rally Day Breakfast 9-10 a.m. on Sept. 10 in fellowship hall.
Ebenezer Sunday School classes start the following week at 9 a.m. Sept. 17.
Ebenezer’s Closet will be open from 6-8 p.m. on Aug. 10 and 10 a.m. to noon on Aug. 12. Clothing is available for the entire family.
Take as much as you need, no proof of need is required.

New Tripoli Fire Company, New Tripoli, is having a Guns or Cash Bash, a raffle for approximately 30 guns, on Sept. 23.
Only 2,000 orange tickets have been printed for the main drawing of the guns.
There will be additional raffles for other guns.
