Delphine W. Metzger, 94, of Allentown, died July 24, 2017, in her home. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Metzger. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Harry W. and Ida E. (Weaver) Fairchild.

She was a 1941 graduate of Allentown High School and was employed at WSAN as a receptionist prior to retirement.

She was a member of Hope United Church of Christ and was a Red Cross volunteer at Sacred Heart Hospital and Phoebe Home for 25 years.

She is survived by a son, William R., of Allentown; nephew, Rev. Barry Lynn, of Maryland. She was predeceased by a daughter, Janet Louise and sister, Edith C. Lynn.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Aug. 5 at Hope Church, 1031 Flexer Ave. Call 10 a.m. until time of service. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
