Richard “Butch” J. Evans, 74, of Bethlehem, died July 13, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Paul and Anna (Bartholomew) Evans. He was the husband of Barbara (Hallowell) Evans for 51 years.
He was a 1961 graduate of William Allen HS.
He worked at the Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 33 years and was one of the last employees at the Steel before it closed its doors.
He was a member of the Found in the 60’s Car Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Denise Yuppa of Breingisville and Michele and her husband Randy Bush of Slatington; a son, Richard M. and his wife Cynthia of Bethlehem; three siblings, Warren and his wife Mary Lou Evans of Missouri, Donald and his wife Gail Evans of Bethlehem and Louise and her husband Bruce Stephens of Bethlehem; and five grandchildren, Colin Bush, Scott Yuppa, Tessa Huff, CJ Huff and Mason Huff.
