LaRue V. Zentner

LaRue V. Zentner, 91, of Emmaus, died July 15, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice. She was the wife of the late Warren L. Zentner. Born in Vera Cruz, she was the daughter of the late Solomon and Theresa (Malik) Dries.

She was employed by the 1st National Bank of Allentown for many years and in her husband’s business, Zentner Bros. Painting.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Over the years, she was a Girl Scout leader, Sunday school teacher and volunteer at the Topton Lutheran Home yearly Christmas event.

She was a lifetime member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She was an Emmaus High School graduate of the Class of 1943 and active in her class reunions.

She enjoyed family, baking and playing cards.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn and her husband Christopher Scott; grandsons, Joshua and his wife Karen and Jonathan; great-granddaughters, Julia and Jossllynn Scott. She was predeceased by five brothers; three sisters, Elijah, Irwin, David, Paul, Albert, Susan, Helen and Ruth.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. July 19 in Northwood Cemetery, Emmaus. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
