Bridget “Josephine” Gallagher, 88, of Bethlehem, died July 12, 2017. Born in Ireland, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Margaret McGready. She was the wife of the late James J. Gallagher.

She enjoyed her job knitting sweaters when she lived in Ireland.

She was a parishioner of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church.

She is survived by three sons, Dr. James of Bethlehem, Brendan of Cranbury, N.J. and Patrick of Staten Island, N.Y.; two daughters-in-law, Frances and Kerren; three sisters, Peggy of Ireland and Nora and Bernadette, both of England; four grandchildren, James and his wife Samantha, Katherine, Kevin and Quinn; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews in Ireland.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Philomena and Celine; and four brothers, Michael, Gerald, Brendan and Joseph. Contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Notre Dame of Bethlehem, 1861 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
