Magdalen Garrison, 73, of Coplay, died July 9, 2017, at Blough Nursing Home, Bethlehem. Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Lamb) Kaich. She was the wife of Herbert Garrison for 54 years.
She was a 1961 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School.
She worked at the Bon-Ton distribution center for 11 years. She was a secretary at St. Peter Catholic Church, Coplay, for 23 years.
She was a member of St. Peter and of the church’s rosary society, was an acting treasurer, an Eucharistic minister, on the church picnic and pierogie-making committees and volunteered with church dinners. She arranged yearly visits to the MSC nuns in Reading.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Maria Ruch and her fiance Jeffrey Harakal of Allentown; Jane Chase, at home; Amy Garrison and her fiance Darren Norfleet of Whitehall; and Michelle and her husband Timothy Weber of Allentown; a sister, Anna Pavlo of Bethlehem; eight grandchildren, Tyrell and his wife Stephanie, Tevon, Treyce, Stephen, Aaron, Ayanna, Kyle and Kory; a great-granddaughter, Valerie Skyy; nieces; and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Herbert III; and a sister, Theresa Kurtz.
