Avery M. Ziegenfus

Avery M. Ziegenfus, 22, of Jim Thorpe, died July 9, 2017, in East Penn Township, Carbon Coun- ty.

Born in Lehighton, he was a son of Kelly A. and Kim D. (Schaffer) Ziegenfus of Penn Forest Township.

He was a forklift operator in the shipping department of Arlington Plastics Company, Scranton, and later in the detail department of Tom Hesser Nissan, Dunmore.

He attended St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Towamensing.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Miranda Rose; maternal grandmother, Ursula (Green) Schaffer; maternal great-grandmother, Vera (Lorah) Schaffer; and an uncle, Trevor Schaffer, all of Bowmanstown; two aunts, Deb Bauer of Fenelton and Sue West of Coaldale; two uncles, Greg and his wife Linda Ziegenfus of Lehighton and Matthew and his wife Lisa Ziegenfus of Egypt; numerous cousins; and friends.
