Northampton: Book sale is set

Northampton Area Public Library will hold a book sale July 19, 20 and 22 at the library, 1615 Laubach Ave., with a July 22 bag sale.

The library will host a program titled “Source Water Protection Starts at Home” 6:30 p.m. July 19. Master well owner Chris Jones will discuss well basics such as annual maintenance and water testing.

Munchkin Music will he held 11 a.m. July 24. Kids can enjoy music, movement and fun!

An escape room program for adults will be held 6:30 p.m. July 26. Participants will use elements of the room to solve puzzles and, ultimately, escape the room!

Registration is required for the events. Stop by the library or call 610-262-7537.

Northampton Area Food Bank’s Christmas in July food drive will be held July 15 and 16 at Redner’s Warehouse Market on Held Drive.

Donations also can be sent to Northampton Area Food Bank, 1601 Canal St., Northampton, 18067 or dropped off 9:30 a.m.-noon Wednesdays.

The food bank will be accepting produce from local gardens 9:30 a.m.-noon Wednesdays.

The Siegfried Railroad Station, the home of the Northampton Area Historical Society, on West 21st Street, will be open 1-4 p.m. July 16.

The station is a museum housing artifacts of the Northampton area, this year highlighting the first ward. There is no charge, but donations are accepted for the continued restoration of the station.

Holy Trinity Nursery School, 1235 Main St., has a limited number of spaces available for the 2017-18 school year.

The 2-year-old playgroup class meets 9:30-11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Class size is limited to 12. Children do not need to be toilet trained for this class.

The 3-year-old class meets 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Class size is limited to 16. Children need to be toilet trained for this class.

The 4-year-old class meets 12:15-2:45 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Class size is limited to 16. Children need to be toilet trained for this class.

Children must turn the appropriate age for the class by Sept. 1.
