WESTERN SALISBURY COLUMN Allentown Public Library has many summer activities

The Allentown Public Library has a lot of fun summer activities to participate in.

An outdoor family story time is held 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. every Monday. Bring a blanket and enjoy.

“Build with a Bear” 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. every Tuesday allows participants to enjoy a building challenge with Library Bear.

“Build a Better Story Day” is where participants can learn techniques to improve storytelling talents 6 to 7:15 p.m. every Wednesday.

Summer Science Series continues 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays and Books and Bagels is held 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Fridays where the library supplies patrons with a bagel and beverage during an outdoor storytime.

Salisbury Township School District summer library hours continue 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Salisbury Middle School July 12, 19 and 26.

A school board meeting will be held 6:30 p.m. July 10 in the administration building.

The Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church continues its Summer Concert Series 7 p.m. July 6 with a performance by the JWS Festival Band.

The Devonshire drop-off will open July 15 and 18. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

I don’t know about you, but one thing I love about summer is making dinner on the grill. I made shish kebabs yesterday and there is nothing like the taste of fresh vegetables grilled to perfection. What is your favorite meal to cook on the grill?
