Denise Lynn Atkinson, 65, of Allentown, died June 29, 2017. She was the wife of Dale Atkinson. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Kathleen (Seem) Reightler.

She was a 1970 graduate of Salisbury High School.

She did clerical work for various companies including South Whitehall Township, Phoebe Home, Air Products and most recently the Salisbury Township School District, retiring in 2006.

She was a member of Guthsville Rod & Gun Club and Unami Fish and Game Protective Association where she shot competition pistol.

Besides her family, her biggest joy in life were her cats, Smokey and Ziggy.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Joel Walbert at home, Peter and his wife Melissa, of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; grandsons, Shaun and Sebastian in Arizona. She was predeceased by a sister, Donna Ehrie and a nephew, Scott Ehrie.
