Whitehall library: Relax with Tai Chi tonight at library

We will offer an Intro to Tai Chi session 6:30 p.m. tonight, July 6. Tai Chi, created in China as a martial art, is primarily used in our country as a means of promoting health and wellness. Composed of slow, graceful postures done mindfully, Tai Chi, also known as “moving meditation,” is said to develop balance, relieve stress and anxiety, and improve mood and quality of life.

Ever hear a thud on your window and look out to find a dazed bird? Ouch, that had to hurt! Join us to find out why this happens and what you and your family can do to help prevent bird strikes on your windows. The program will be held 6:30 p.m. July 10.

Marie North, a certified sustainable building adviser in the Lehigh Valley, will lead a short, interactive discussion about why birds hit glass and provide a hands-on activity using Collidescape, where you will learn how to make window decals to prevent those hits that hurt.

This program is for all ages.
