Lester H. Snyder, 86, of Cherryville, died June 23, 2017, at his son Peter’s residence. He was the husband of the late MaryAnn (Antonition) Snyder for 52 years.

Born in Danielsville, he was a son of the late Howard and Emily (Longenbach) Snyder.

He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a truck driver for 50 years until he retired.

He was a member of International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 773, Allentown.

He is survived by four sons, Lester P. Snyder and his wife Jane of Moore Township, Paul M. Snyder and his wife Gail of Nazareth, Peter S. Snyder and his wife Karen of Danielsville and Mark A. Snyder of Walnutport; two daughters, Mary A. Hahn and her husband Douglas of Chincoteague Island, Va., and Kathy L. Kunkle and her husband Harry of Cherryville; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Howard Snyder of Upper Black Eddy and Franklin Snyder and his wife Drinda of Palmerton; two sisters, Ruth Frable and her husband Ronald of Pennsville and Shirley Heffelfinger and her husband Charles of Danielsville; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Lewis Snyder; and a sister, Betty Deiter.

There will be a calling hour 10-11 a.m., followed by a service 11 a.m., both June 29 at Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, 18035. Interment with military honors will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
