Carol E. (Wechsler) Sommers, 74, of Whitehall, died June 23, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg. She was the wife of the late Russell Sommers.

Born in North Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Adolph and Helen (Bretz) Wechsler.

She worked at PNC Bank, Northampton, for more than 25 years and was a mortgage loan officer when she retired.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Stiles.

She is survived by a stepdaughter, Heidi and her husband Robert Beck; a stepson, Mark Sommers; three grandchildren, Marisa, Ethan and Aidan; a brother, Dolph Wechsler and his wife Peggie; and two nephews.
