STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q. In what grade are you?

A. I am in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is economics because I find the concepts to be interesting and Mr. Warnke is a great teacher.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I was inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society and achieved Principal’s Honor Roll. I received First Team All-Conference honors as a defensive back for football and was selected to play in the McDonald’s All Star Classic. I was also named Scholar Athlete for both football and track.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A. I’m the president of the Class of 2017, an editor on the school newspaper staff, a school tour guide, volunteer for Special Olympics and active participant in the lunch buddies program. I also participate in football, track and scrubs basketball.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. My next goal after high school is to grow as a person and a scholar at James Madison University.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge to date is trying to balance schoolwork, sports, extra curricular activities, friendships and work, without compromising any of them.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered as a kind person and diligent worker.

Q. Who is in your family?

A. My parents Lynn and Mickey, my siblings Melissa and Andrew and my pet Clyde.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire Kobe Bryant and Harold Fairclough for their leadership, focus and relentless desire to succeed.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. Be yourself and work hard for what you want.
