Betty Greenberg, 90, of Lower Macungie Township, died peacefully June 4, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Middletown, Conn., she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Arlene (Wall) Leitzes.

She graduated from Laboratory Institute of Fashion Merchandising in New York and went on to work at Lord & Taylor and Orbach’s before moving to Allentown, where she lived for 69 years.

She loved playing canasta, tennis, and golf, but she loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends.

She was a former Grey Lady at Allentown Hospital on 17th Street and was a member at Temple Beth El and Hadassah.

She is survived by a son, Jeff and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth, of Allentown; brother, Harold Leitzes, of Palmetto, Fla.; sister-in-law, Yvette Leitzes, and niece, Nancy and Gary Schultz, of Wallingford, Conn.; grandchildren, Eli, Ahmee, Noah, Hildi, Hannah, Jonah and Zev. She was predeceased by a brother, Merrill Leitzes, of Wallingford, Conn. and son, David, of Allentown.
