John P. Pelcheck

John P. Pelcheck, 89, of Allentown, died June 4, 2017, at home.

He was the husband of the late Ethel V. (Cox) Pelcheck.

Born in Lansford, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Adamcik) Pelcheck.

He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Marines.

Before retiring in 1988, he was a conductor with Conrail for 37 years.

His survivors include a son John P. and his companion, Faith Sickels, of Easton; daughters Ruth Ann Busolits and her husband, William, of Catasauqua, Cathy J. Pelcheck-LaBella and her husband, Joe LaBella, of Allentown; six grandchildren; sister Mary Ann Yusella of Summit Hill, and friend and companion Eleanor Rilko.

He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph, and sister, Rosalie Canzoneri.

Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. June 8 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1045 W. Cedar St., Allentown.

Calling will be from 9:30-10 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Contributions may be made in his memory to St. Luke’s Hospice, c/o the funeral home.
