Floyd L. Hyman, 78, of Allentown, died on June 5, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He and his wife Barbara A. (Knetz) Hyman celebrated 52 years of marriage last August.

Born in Newark, N.Y., he was the son of the late Leslie and Helen (DeBuse) Hyman.

He was a chemical engineer at Air Products from 1964-2001.

After retirement, he worked in a part-time capacity for Air Products from 2004-2014.

A Clarkson University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering, he earned his Master’s degree from the University of Delaware.

He was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall.

He enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Wayne and wife, Lori; daughters Karen, wife of Gary Morgan, and Eileen, wife of Aaron Nyemscek; sister Carol Hyman and grandchildren Nicole, Ryan, Olivia, Matthew, Sarah and Luke.

His memorial service will be 11 a.m. June 10 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road Allentown, PA 18104. A calling hour will be held 10-11 a.m. Saturday in the church.
