Peter I. Wentz, 55, of Tunkhannock, formerly of Emmaus, died May 15, 2017, in Tunkhannock. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Paul I. and Orpha L. (Stortz) Wentz Jr.

He was employed by K & K Energy of Tunkhannock as a truck driver. He was a commercial truck driver for most of his life and was recognized for his conscientiousness and driving skills.

He is survived by a son, Peter Ian, of Plainfield, Conn.; daughter, Taylor M., stationed at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M.; brother, Philip I., of Phillipsburg, N.J.; stepmother, Cheryl D., of Kutztown. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul I. III and a sister, Patrice I. Schlonecker.

Contributions may be made to the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus 18049 to assist with expenses.
