With 10 days remaining until Coplay Parkway Pool opens, June 10, there is an extra bit of excitement in the air. There are two curved sliding boards, with water constantly flowing, that will give patrons, mostly children, another dimension to enjoy the experience. One such sliding board is at the deep end; the other is at the more shallow waters.
The borough pool will be open to the public noon-7 p.m. June 10 and 11. It will then be closed June 12 and officially open June 13 for the season.
The pool will sport a fresh coat of blue paint.
The Bacon Strip will return and operate the refreshment stand, bringing with them some favorite food from its Second Street restaurant.

The shuttle stop location in Coplay is at Chestnut and North Front streets. In Northampton, the Ninth and Main streets intersection is the designated shuttle stop location.
Pickup times at the shuttle stops designated will not exceed 30-minute cycles.
The hours of operation will be 6:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m.-9 p.m. weekends during the closure of the sidewalks.
