The third Step Outdoors Lehigh Valley festival will be held on June 3 and 4 at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way. There will be a kick-off event, “Taste of the Wild,” at 6 p.m. on June 2.The event features more than 25 local and state groups. Activities include archery, biking, gardening, art and nature, hiking, nature photography, bluebird box building and fishing activities. Organizations such as Hawk Mountain, Wildlands Conservancy and Bear Mountain Butterfly Sanctuary will have exhibits.

The 2017 DockDogs competition will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 3 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 4 at SteelStacks’ Air Products Town Square. New this year are the DockDogs’ K9 Aquatics three DockDogs disciplines: Big Air, Speed Retrieve and the Extreme Vertical jump. Public jump times are from 9 to 10 a.m. both days.
