Martin E. Hirsch, 78, of Bethlehem Township, died May 20, 2017, at the St. Luke’s VNA Hospice House. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Vilma (Pinter) and Martin H. Hirsch. He was the husband of Dolores “Lori” (Stenger) Hirsch for 58 years.
He was a superintendent for B. Braun until he retired after 36 years. He was a former fire chief with the Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Department.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Miller Heights.
He was involved with the Prime Time Club. He was a member of several social clubs throughout the Lehigh Valley.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Martin “Mark” Jr. and his wife Deborah, Kevin and his wife Kim Ann and Christopher and Matthew Hirsch; a brother, Henry Hirsch; a sister, Vilma Takacs; three grandchildren, Martin C., Chelsea Marie and Kevin Allen Hirsch Jr.; a great-grand daughter, Katherine Ann Hirsch; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, George Hirsch; and a brother-in-law, Stephen Takacs.
