The 2017 graduating class of Salisbury High School will hold commencement exercises 6 p.m. June 7 at Miller Symphony Hall. Admission is by ticket only. Congratulations graduates!

All Salisbury Township schools will be closed May 25, 26 and 29 in observance of Memorial Day.

Western Salisbury Elementary School students will be releasing the butterflies that have been growing and emerging from their cocoons the afternoon of June 2.

Also June 2, the WSE PTA will hold a Menchies night at the Menchies frozen yogurt shop on Cedar Crest Boulevard 6 to 8 p.m. Come on out to enjoy some frozen yogurt and time with friends before the school year ends.

Last but not least, but also June 2 will be the opportunity to get an athletic physical for any student currently in grades six through 11 who wants to play a fall sport, participate in marching band or twirling. Paperwork will be available May 25 at both the middle school and high school. June 6 will be laptop collection day for all middle schoolers. If there are items or files on your laptop you want to keep, make sure you save them to a flash drive before it is collected and wiped clean.

Salisbury Middle School will host a “Camp Invention” program this summer. Students entering sixth through eighth grades can learn about circuitry, energy, robots and drone technology 9 a.m. to noon June 26 to 30. For more information and to register online, visit the SMS website.

An operations committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. June 5 in the administration building.

The summer concert series of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church will start soon. The first concert will be performed by The Red Hill Band 7 p.m. June 1. A free will offering will be taken to support and continue the concert series.

The Devonshire drop-off will open June 3 and 6. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
