Gloria J. Wertman, 76, of New Tripoli, died May 22, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She and her husband Carl W. Wertman would have been married for 59 years next month.
Born in Best Station, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth (Clauser) Solt.
A self-employed beautician in New Tripoli for 49 years, she was also a waitress at the former Shankweiler Hotel and a clerk at the former Hess’s Department Store.
She was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli, where she was the former council president of the Lutheran congregation.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Michael C. and wife, Kelly, of New Tripoli; daughters Sharon L. Lotwick and husband, William, of New Tripoli and Lori A. Terleski and husband, Charles Hegedus, of Allentown; brother Mark Solt of Walnutport; grandchildren Jason Christman, Nicole Melnick, Tyler Terleski, Hudson and Harrison Wertman; great-grandchildren Peyton and Teagen Christman, and Dylan Melnick, nieces and nephews.
Service will be 11 a.m. May 27 at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, 7293 Decatur St., New Tripoli, with the Rev. Kevin E. Fruchtl officiating.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. in the church.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
