Ronald John Fradeneck, 82, of Bethlehem, died May 20, 2017, after a brief illness. He was the husband Patricia (Bilsak) for 61 years.
He was in the United States Army.
Since 1953, he worked in engineering and technical management positions at the Homer Research Laboratory of the Bethlehem Steel Corporation.
He was a lifetime member of Saint Anne Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
He was a longtime executive of the Lehigh Southside Boosters Club.
He held five patents that he authored or co-authored, which improved the production and quality of finished steel products. He received national awards from the American Iron and Steel Institute and the American Institute of Metallurgical Engineering.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Judith and her husband Kevin Shields, Jane and her husband Frank Sands, Ronald S. and his wife Sara, David J. and his wife Judith and Timothy J. and his wife Jennifer; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
