Peter Allen Melly, 73, of Moravian House 1, Bethlehem, died May 9, 2017, in Old Orchard Health Care Center, Palmer Township. Born in Paterson, N.J., he was a son of the late Peter and Ethel (Allen) Melly.

He was in the U. S. Army during the Cuban missile crisis.

He was an electrician in the communications field for many years until he took retirement.

He was raised in the Catholic faith.

He is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Melly of California; a sister, Elizabeth Klein of Bethlehem; a grandson, Gregory; and two nephews, Kenneth Grundstein and Shane Melly.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Kenneth, Robert and Dennis Melly.

Arrangements were made by James Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem.
