Dae Kim is Linny award winner
ArtsQuest Foundation’s Pinnacle of the Arts award will be presented to actor Daniel Dae Kim at the second annual Linny Awards ceremony on Nov. 9 at SteelStacks. The 1986 Freedom HS graduate was chosen as he is a former Lehigh Valley resident who is known in the visual, literary or performing arts.
The Hawaii resident plays detective Chin Ho Kelly in the series “Hawaii Five-0” and was a cast member of the show “Lost” on television. He starred in both the London and Broadway productions of “The King and I.”
The Linny Awards, named after Bethlehem’s late Marlene “Linny” Fowler because of her support of the arts, given to artists, art educators, businesses and philanthropists who have lived, now live, or work in the Lehigh Valley.
Nominations from the public are being accepted for Visual Artist, Performing Artist, Emerging Artist and Arts Educator of the Year; Business Supporters and Philanthropy in the Arts; Excellence in Production Design and Lehigh Valley Scholarship awards. Visit www.artsquestfoundation.org/linnyawards.
