Charles V.R. Dauerty, 63, of Kempton, died May 8, 2017, in his home.
He and his wife Christel B. (Braun) Boyd were married 42 years.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of Charles V.R. Dauerty of Jonesboro, Tenn., and the late Henriette (Walker) Dauerty.
The director of outpatient services for Step By Step, Allentown, he was also a black belt martial arts instructor at the Unitarian Universalist Church, Bethlehem, for many years.
He was also the treasurer and board member of the Gabriel Chamber Ensemble, Orwigsburg.
In addition to his wife and father he is survived by daughters Stefanie E., wife of Scott D. Nester of Kempton, and Christel M. wife of George Payne, of Pottstown; sisters Barbara Dauerty of Universal City, Texas, and Helene Dauerty, wife of Edward Randles, South Bend, Ind.; brothers Guy P. Dauerty and his spouse, Norman Hanson, of New York City, N.Y. and David (Cindy) Dauerty of Constantia, N.Y.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the convenience of the family in the near future.
