At 6 p.m. today, May 18, “Health Talks: Nutrition for Diabetes and Healthy Living,” presented by Robert Hartzell, registered pharmacist, certified clinical nutritionist and owner of Hartzell’s Pharmacy, will be held at Public Library of Catasauqua. The focus of Hartzell’s presentation will be the role nutrition plays in healthy living.

Hartzell will be joined by members of Hartzell’s professional team.

Free blood pressure screening, as well as a healthy snack, will be offered.

Catasauqua Lions Club is having a bingo May 21 at Jednota Slovak Social Club, Fifth and Grove streets, North Catasauqua. Doors open noon.

Tickets include bingo and lunch. There are a very few tickets left. Call Joe at 610-264-4130.

All proceeds will be used for eyeglasses for the needy, a senior dinner at Christmastime, shopping for children, bingo at Catasauqua Towers, youth leadership camp and more.

The George Taylor House, Lehigh and Poplar streets, will hold its opening day 1-4 p.m. May 21. There will be light refreshments as well as a local art exhibit.

The last bingo of the winter/spring season will be held at Annunciation BVM (St. Mary’s Parish Center), Second and Union streets, starting 1 p.m. May 21.

The kitchen will be open 11:30 a.m. for sit-in or take-out meals.
