V. Joyce Barber, 96, died May 4, 2017, in Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Township. She was the wife of the late Eugene William Himmel and also the widow of Kenneth John Barber. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Charles William and Viola Carrie (Listcoe) Dunnet.

She was a 1940 graduate of Frankford High School in Philadelphia. She worked as a bookkeeper at a bank and also was a cafeteria worker in the Neshaminy School District.

She is survived by daughters: Nancy J. Schatz, of Santee, Calif., Arline S. Piehl and her husband Robert, of Allentown; grandchildren: Michelle A. Piehl, Keith R. Piehl, Robyn L. Sarvis and her husband Duane Trammell, Carly E. Sechrist and her husband Christopher; seven great-grandchildren; sister: Shirley E. Nelson, of Riverside, Calif.

Services will be held 11 a.m. May 11 at Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown. Calling hours are 10 to 11 a.m. May 11 in the funeral home.
