Stephen Frank Markley, 82, of Macungie, died May 5, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Carol A. (Tanner) Markley. Born Nov. 13, 1934, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Stephen and Dorothy Markley.

He worked as a machinist for Ingersoll Rand and then continued on at Schiller-Pfeiffer Machine Shop Inc., Emmaus. He was a lover of birds and always had one for a pet. He enjoyed spending time in his workshop.

He is survived by daughter, Kelly and her husband Michael Stubits; sons, Stephen, Richard and his wife Mary, Daniel and Brian; grandchildren, Stephen, Samantha, Elliott and Stephanie.

Services will be held 11 a.m. May 11 in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. May 11 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Northampton.
