Jacqueline A. Driscoll, 64, of Allentown, died May 3, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of William J. Driscoll. The couple would have celebrated 18 years of marriage Sept. 11. Born in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Albert E. “Barney” and Virgie (Green) Charron.
She was a devoted member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church where she volunteered for many programs including the Ladies Aid Society, Church Council, 275th Anniversary Committee and Church Camp. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters Lodge #106 in Limeport and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 7293 Ladies Auxiliary in Egypt.
She was employed for 15 years as assistant manager at the former Barney’s Diner in Emmaus. More recently she was employed in the food service industry at Friendly’s and Green Meadows. She enjoyed crafting, playing Scrabble, pinochle and reading romance novels.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by siblings, Susan Charron, of Macungie and Albert E. “Archie” Charron, M.D., of Lakewood Ranch, Fla.; 19 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-Law; 21 nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and great-nephews; and step-mother, LaMae E. Charron.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church for handicapped access projects or Church Camp. Please list your choice in memo on check.
