Ella A. Nottle, 81, of Whitehall Township, died April 30, 2017. She was the wife of Wayne R. Nottle for 60 years.

Born in Nazareth, she was a daughter of the late Clayton and Evelyn (Meyers) Messinger.

She was a 1953 graduate of Nazareth Area High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Moravian College in 1957.

She was a co-proprietor of the former Nottle’s Diner. She worked for the YWCA in Chester, Girl Scouts in Allentown, JC Penney in the camera department and was a sales representative for L’Eggs products.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Sharon Kulp of Whitehall and Beth Elchook and her husband James of Apex, N.C.; four grandchildren, Stephanie Batdorf and her companion Scott Schmoyer of Schnecksville, Veronica Kulp of Allentown, Alyssa and her husband Justin Wisdom of Raeford, N.C., and Samantha Elchook and her fiancé Chris Lublinkhof of Cary, N.C.; and three great-grandchildren, Rylee, Peyton and Aiden.
