Bernadine E. Kane, 91, died peacefully May 3, 2017. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Sunderer) Kleinsorge. She was the former wife of Mathias (Matt) Gutman from which she had six children. She was also the loving wife of her beloved late husband Bernard Kane.
She was employed at The Morning Call, later was a nurse at Eastwood Convalescent Home and Mack Printing in Easton from which she retired. She was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, traveling and knitting, but most of all children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her three sons, Michael and his wife Linda, of Jackson N.J., John and his wife Kathy and Paul, both of Allentown; daughters Carol Long and her husband Tom, of Venice, Fla., Mary Conroy and her husband Jim, of Kiawah, S.C.; stepchildren, David Kane and his wife Kathy, of Allentown, Celeste Madis and her husband Barry, of Alburtis, Ralph Kane, of Schnecksville, Therese Kollar and her husband George, of Hunlock Creek, Pa.; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David Gutman.
