STEELSTACKS Go-karts race planned June 18

Up to 30 go-kart teams will compete in the inaugural SteelStacks Grand Prix from noon to 4 p.m. June 18. The event, presented by Lehigh Valley Grand Prix and ArtsQuest, includes racing, family activities, a car show, food vendors and trucks and features track side “grandstand” viewing areas and pit row VIP packages,

The karts will race on a Mike McCreary custom designed half-mile track course. The top teams from the preliminary heats will advance to the 3 p.m. finals. There will be a media race with local celebrities. Local businesses confirmed to participate are Aesthetic Surgery Associates, Bazella Group, Cars & Coffee Lehigh Valley, Deiter Brothers, Sands Resort Bethlehem and Valvoline Instant Oil Change.
