Richard A. “Dick” Gray, 85, of Northampton, died April 27, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the husband of the late Barbara P. (Doser) Gray.

Born in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Augustus and Frances M. (Gillespie) Gray.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War era.

An estimator and sales representative for H.T. Lyons, Inc. for 20 years before retiring in 1993, he prided himself as being one of the first employees of H.T. Lyons.

He previously worked for Lehigh Engineering.

Crowned “Dr. Pinochle”, he also had a passion for golf and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

His survivors include children Gary L. Gray of North Whitehall, Joseph A. Gray and his wife, Loa, of Minneapolis, Minn., Elizabeth A. Semler and her husband, William, of North Whitehall; sister Mary Kornfeind and her husband, Joseph, of North Whitehall; grandchildren Matthew, Jonathan, Jenna, Gunnar, Lauren, Kelsey, and Scott; great-grandchildren Sara, Emily and Connor; and good friends Thomas Reilly, Ted Lyons and Ann Orlando.
