Karen F. Johnson, 67, of Orefield, died April 26, 2017, after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Viola M. (Ziegler) Billiard.

A graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, St. Luke’s School of Nursing and Gwynedd Mercy College, she was a critical care registered nurse for more than 30 years.

She enjoyed caring for animals, bird feeding, flower gardening, cooking, baking, sports, reading and music.

She was a member of Morgenland Church, Orefield.

Her survivors include a son Eric of Richmond, Va.; ex-husband, William; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
