Earl M. Nothstein Jr.

Earl M. Nothstein Jr., aka “Junior” Nothstein, 84, of Allentown, died April 29, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital with his loving family at his side.

He and his wife Leona F. (Hinnershitz) Nothstein were married in November 1960.

Born in Trexlertown, he was a son of the late Earl M. Sr. and Sally (McClellan) Nothstein.

He co-owned, with his brother Wayne, Nothstein Ford, Kutztown, in the 1960s and Nothstein Dodge, Trexlertown, from 1970-83.

He also was a co-owner of Nothstein Brothers Trucking and later solely owned Nothstein Aggregates Trucking and Nothstein Motors.

A big block, modified stock car builder and driver in the 1950s and 1960s, he enjoyed deep sea fishing and hunting.

He was a sergeant in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

His memberships include St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Robert M. Fegely VFW Post 8282, Rural Sportsmen’s Association and Wescosville Fire Company.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Brian L. of Wescosville and Glen E. and his wife Beth of Trexlertown; brother Wayne R. of Wescosville, sister Janice L. Liscka of Schnecksville; grandchildren Chasity and her husband Christopher Everett, Adam Nothstein and Amanda Kemeter.

He was predeceased by a sister, Geraldine M. Eisenhard.

Services will be private with no calling hours.
