Dorothy “Dot” Starr, 71, died Dec. 21, 2016, in Indio, Calif.

She is survived by her husband William Starr and children Scott, of Chino Hills, Calif., and Tracey of Brussels, Belgium.

Born Dorothy Jean Cross in 1945 in Ambridge, Beaver County, she graduated from Ambridge High School in 1963, and The Pennsylvania State University in 1966.

After marrying in 1967, she and her husband lived and worked in Allentown, Coopersburg and then Lebanon before retiring to Marco Island, Fla., and then to Indio.

Predeceased by her parents and her brother, she is survived by her sister Mary Evans, daughter-in-law Ana, son-in-law Darrell Doren, as well as several nieces and a nephew.

A celebration of her life will be 11 a.m. May 6 at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville, with visitation 10:30-11 a.m.
