Dennis Klusaritz running for township supervisor

Dennis E. Klusaritz, a Democratic, has announced he is a candidate for a six-year term on the North Whitehall Township Board of Supervisors.

A lifelong resident of the township, Klusaritz, a 1977 graduate of Parkland High School, and his wife, Louise, are the parents of three sons. They are all property owners in the township.

Klusaritz, caregiver for his brother Andrew, has been operating and managing the family hay and grain farming operation along Rising Sun Road since 1978.

“Over the years, I dedicated myself to this community by having been appointed to the historical, recreation and planning commissions, the board of supervisors (1990-96), and I was chairman of the zoning hearing board,” Klusaritz said. “I also served on the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission and received certificates from Penn State College and the Pennsylvania Department of Community Affairs on Township Government.

“I was also president of the Lehigh County Association of Township Supervisors.

“I don’t need any training for this job. I could go there tomorrow and start working.”

Klusaritz is a member of the Slatedale-Emerald Lions Club, with which he served as past president, all the North Whitehall Township fire departments, the Pennsylvania Farmers Association, United Way volunteer, and he was elected Lehigh County Republican Committeeperson in 2006.

He was also presented the 2007 Via of the Lehigh Valley Team Award.

“Our next township supervisor should have the skills and experience to address the issues that challenge us today,” Klusaritz said.

“Growing up in North Whitehall Township, as a student, farmer, volunteer, devoted husband and father, I am deeply committed to lead this township in the right direction.

“It would be a great honor and privilege to serve North Whitehall Township residents as your township supervisor and I ask for your support.”
