Lester E. White, Jr., 89, formerly of Emmaus, died April 21, 2017, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was the husband of Minnie E. (Abel) White. They were married for 65 years. Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Lester E. Sr. and Florence (Bertolet) White.

He was a member of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, Emmaus. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.

Before retiring in 1986, he was employed in the personnel accounting department at General Electric and Black and Decker for 34 years.

He was involved with the Emmaus Little League and Legion Baseball for 25 years.

He was a member of Jordan Lodge 673.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Martin E. and his wife Kathleen, of Elida, Ohio, David W., of Emmaus; grandchildren, Nicholas, Zachary, Timothy and AJ; great-grandchildren Emma, Jack, Andrew and Julia; sister, Phyllis Lindsey, of Washington, Ga.
