Leon E. Cummings, 91, of Emmaus, died April 27, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of the late Jean S. (Suter) Cummings. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Eugene and Pearl (Garrett) Cummings.

He was a graduate of Lehigh University and honorably served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

He worked for Lehigh Portland Cement, retiring as corporate vice president. He was a life member of the Mercantile Club of Emmaus, former member of Lehigh Country Club and the Livingston Club, was a former member of the board of directors of Maryland Midland Railway and a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Emmaus.

He is survived by a daughter, Lori and her husband Joseph Imhof, of Emmaus; son-in-law Dr. Michael King, of Reading; grandchildren, Heather Mobilo (Matt), Christopher Imhof (Chelsea) and Rori Gallagher (Brian); great-grandchildren, Sienna, Mila and Luca. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sheri Cummings-King.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
