EPC track Top Performers

The East Penn Conference (EPC) track and field postseason is just around the corner. Athletes are making one last push to qualify and earn a top seed in the upcoming league and district meets.

For Northampton, the team went against Nazareth on Monday on Senior Day. Both the boys and girls won, bringing their records to an impressive 9-2 on the year.

Next week the teams will be at East Stroudsburg South for the EPC Championships.

The following week districts take place Blue Mountain.

Several Northampton members again make the top performers list this week.

For the boys, Zachary Liggitt is fifth in the discus with a 134-5. In the javelin, Colin Schucker is third with a 157-0.

On the girls side, Hannah Flaven is fourth in the 400. Lyndsey Gallagher makes the list twice - in the 1600 where she’s second with a 5:15.2 and in the 3200 where she is fourth with 11:39.8.

Tatiana Lopez has the top time in the 110 high hurdles with a 15.6.

Alexis Barrall is second in the pole vault clearing 10-3 and Aja Blount also makes the list twice, as she’s tied for fifth in the shot put at 32-0 and is fourth in the discus with a throw of 108-10.
