As an early reminder, the borough will have a private contractor do a street sweeping on every road in the borough May 17 and 18. The public works crew will have “no parking” signs on the streets a day earlier.
There is strict enforcement by police. Vehicles not moved will be ticketed or face the risk of having the vehicle towed.

Yes, there is a tire drop-off. With the cooperation of Lafarge Cement Company, a trailer will be at the parkway lower lot 10 a.m.-2 p.m. May 20. The program is for borough residents only, and proof of residency will be required.
There is a limit of six tires per household.
A change of location is noted. Last year, the event was held on borough property at the base of Bridge Street, formerly the General Supply grounds.

Coplay Community Days Committee is demonstrating inter-community spirit with its sponsorship of a MacArthur Road 75th anniversary sign. You can see it on Whitehall Township’s side of Chestnut and Ruch streets.
For its part, Whitehall allows Coplay Community Days to place its large sign off MacArthur Road and Eberhart Road prior to its weekend bash in August.
