Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church’s youth group will be hosting a roast beef lunch 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. May 7.

The meal includes roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, two vegetables, rolls, beverage and dessert.

The Laurel Fire Company Summer Sizzler meat raffle will take place 2-6 p.m. May 7 at the Laurel social hall in Cementon.

A fundraiser for the firehouse, the event is open to the public.

Tickets are available at the firehouse, when it is open. On the day of the raffle, additional raffles also will be held.

Come out and have a fun day and win grilling and picnic items.

Tickets are still being sold for a June 24 bus trip to see “Jonah” at Sight & Sound Theatre. The event is being sponsored by Egypt Community Church.

Lunch will be on your own at Oregon Dairy Country Restaurant.

The cost of a ticket includes bus transportation, the show ticket and a tip for the bus driver.
