Mary M. Kenahan, OLPH church member

Mary M. Kenihan, 93, of Bethlehem and formerly of Laurel, Md., died April 24, 2017 at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. Born in White Haven, she was a daughter of the late John and Honore (Caffrey) Martini. She was the wife of the late Joseph G. Kenihan for 45 years.

She was a 1941 graduate of White Haven High School, White Haven. She attended post graduate classes at Liberty High School and at Bethlehem Business College.

She worked for various telephone companies throughout the United States. During World War II, she worked at Vultee Aircraft, Allentown.

She was a former member of St. Mary of the Mills Church, Laurel, Md. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Bethlehem Township.

She was a member and former officer of the Ladies of Charity. She volunteered at LARS and in the gift shop at the Greater Laurel General Hospital, Laurel, Md.

She is survived by a sister, Anne Capuano of Bethlehem; a brother, Thomas Martini of Nazareth; four generations of nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Camillus Eisele and Jean Kenahan.

She was prdeceased by four brothers, John, Francis, Joseph and James Martini; a sister, Honore Zettlemoyer; a sister-in-law, Joyce H. Martini; and a brother-in-law, Leonard A. Capuano.

Contributions may be made to the Ladies of Charity at St. Mary of the Mills Church, 114 St. Mary’s Place, Laurel, MD 20707.
