Josephine Obal, 86, of Bethlehem, died April 22, 2017. Born in Taylor, she was a daughter of the late Metro and Josephine (Garbowski) Vasievich. She was the wife of Frank E. Obal for 63 years.

She was a bookkeeper for M.W. Wood at Lehigh University for 29 years.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Judith and her husband Milton “Buz” Froehlich; two grandchildren, Matthew and Alison Froehlich; and a great-grandson, Jayden Desgouttes.

She was predeceased by three brothers, John, Joseph and Michal; and three sisters, Mary Obal, Anna Timko and Stephanie Kauffman.
