PPL Utilities recently sponsored a safety program geared to elementary school students throughout their distribution region.
One of their stops recently was at the Schnecksville Elementary School, where kindergarten through second graders learned how to be safe around electrical outlets and appliances.
The program taught by actors representing the National Theatre for Children, Minneapolis, Minn., was a high energy, interactive event geared to reach younger children.
According to PPL Regional Affairs Director Carol Obando-Derstine, their goal is to reach 100,000 children over a 5-year period.
