Virginia S. Robertson, 76, of Emmaus, died April 18, 2017, in her residence surrounded by her family. She was the wife of John P. Robertson. They were married for 54 years. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late K. Calvin and Helen M. (Huffman) Sommer.
She attended Mt. Union College.
She was an avid bird watcher, nature enthusiast, loved gardening, sewing and needlework of all kinds.
She was a member and past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Order of the White Shrine.
She was an accomplished musician of voice, piano, organ, handbells, violin and saxophone.
She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Emmaus, serving as a past Deacon, member of the handbell choir and managed the prayer chain.
She was a volunteer for Lehigh Valley Hospital for 20 years.
She is survived by her husband; son, Jonathan P. and his wife Priscilla, of Emmaus; daughters, Jennifer R. and her husband Stephen Wenzel, of Blandon, Nancy Beth, and her husband Benjamin Queen Jr., of Los Gatos, Calif. and Heather and her husband Thomas P. Walpole, of Oceanside, Calif.; grandchildren, Bradley Wenzel, Devin Wenzel, Hadley Queen and Calvin; sisters, Patricia Matter and Ruth Miller. She was predeceased by a sister, Joan Codding.
